Welcome to KD Dance
We are a Latin dance school based in Auckland, specialising in salsa and bachata classes, events, choreographies and teams. With over 20 years of dance experience, we are New Zealand semipro bachata and salsa couples champions and have multiple gold medals in both partnerwork and shines for salsa and bachata.
Our goal is transmitting our love and passion for social dancing, whilst creating a positive, fun, friendly and inclusive environment. Come to join our classes, meet new people, have fun and stay active,

Our 2026 timetable is here - starting in February
With a total of nine weekly classes to choose from, there’s something for everyone!
We welcome a new improvers plus level of salsa partnerwork to our course and introduce a new instructor - Alina Kireeva. Alina will be teach salsa shines and salsa improvers plus with David.
We will shortly be announcing more information about our two new choreography teams - Salsa couples and bachata couples teams.

KD Dance are the current NZ bachata team champions and we are on the lookout for our 2026 team members. With a brand new choreo by Katie and David, this is a great experinence to have fun, level up and challenge yourself. Come along to our info night to find out more:

For the first time KD Dance will be running an on2 salsa couples team and we are on the lookout for our 2026 team members. Choreographed by Latin American and Chilean champions Jarianny & Gonzalo, this is a great experinence to have fun, level up and challenge yourself. Come along to our info night to find out more:

COMMUNITY CLASSES
Weekly open level - Koha donation
Want to give Latin dance a go? Can’t decide which style to choose from? We’ve got you covered with our new open level, community classes. Each week we will alternate between Bachata, Cuban Salsa, Mambo & Shines. This class is open to everyone, all ages (families bring the kids if you want), genders and abilities - no partner required.
This is a "pay what you can - koha donation" class, eftpos or cash available at the studio.
Starting every Monday at 6:30pm from the 2nd of Feb.
You loved it, we loved it - Community class is back for 2026! A regular weekly open level class to get you moving and have some fun. Each week we will alternate between dance styles - Mambo, Cuban Salsa, Bachata and Shines. This class is open to everyone, all ages (families bring the kids if you want), genders and abilities - no partner required.
